SHAPLEIGH, Maine (AP) — A Waterboro man is the holder of a new Maine record for the largest brook trout ever caught. The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife says the fish weighed just over 9 pounds. It was caught through the ice Jan. 8 by Patrick Coan of Waterboro on Mousam Lake in Shapleigh.
