Fly-in trips can be in Minnesota’s Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) or Canada’s Quetico Provincial Park. All flights will land on a lake in Canada (shown on the map below) and you will begin your trip from there.

Can you canoe into Canada in BWCA?

In order to enter into Canada you must have a Remote Area Border Crossing Permit. This permit is only for residents of Canada and the United States and can only be used in designated areas such as the wilderness border of the Boundary Waters and Quetico Park.

When should I go to Boundary Waters?

If beer is something everyone really wants, you can buy certain common brands that come in plastic bottles at some liquor stores, or you can repackage it in plastic bottles yourselves.
